The Who

The Who is yet ANOTHER English rock band and they formed in 1964. The first four members included the lead singer Roger Daltrey, guitarist and singer Pete Townshend, bass guitarist John Entwistle and drummer Keith Moon. Selling over 100 million records globally, The Who is considered one of the most influential rock bands of the 20th century.

They originally started out as a group called The Detours, who would destroy the actual instruments on stage, such as guitars and drums, and then later developed into The Who. The played a live show at the famous music and art festival, Woodstock, in 1969.

Their fourth album included one of their most famous songs, “Pinball Wizard,” which is also known for being a major anthem on games such as Rockband and/or Guitar Hero. It’s another way for millennials to be exposed to classic rock in the 21st century.
